The Apostolic Church Grammar School, Orishigun, Lagos was founded by the
Apostolic Church, Lagos Area, under the dedicated leadership of Late
Pastor S.G. Adegboyega. After months of hand-work, construction of buildings
under free and direct labour of Church members, the School welcomed its first
set of students (44 boys and 22 girls) in January 1964. The 44 boys and 22 girls
were also boarders and their teachers encountered various set backs typical of pioneers.
Pioneer teachers were Pastor Z.A Alabi and Mrs Orebiyi and Akpata.
Among the pioneer students were Overseer A.A. Badejo, Mr. Agbai Otun,
Late Mr. Ebenezer Obajuluwa (now Mrs Adegbayibi), Miss Gbemisola Oresusi
